   Graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1967, V. Belokurov's workshop).

   In 1967-1970 she was an actress at the M.N. Yermolova Theatre, in 1970-1974 at the Sovremennik Theatre, in 1974-1987 an actress at the Moscow Art Theatre.

   In August 2021 she took monastic vows. She withdrew to the Trinity-Odigitrievsky Stavropegial Convent.

   People's Artist of the RSFSR (1987).

   Her father is the famous poet Sergey Vasilyev.
