Avengers (Collection)

"Avengers" is an elite team of superheroes from Marvel comics. It was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby and first appeared in The Avengers #1 in September 1963. The Avengers, later nicknamed "Earth's Mightiest Heroes", initially consisted of Ant-Man, Wasp, Thor, Iron Man, and Hulk. However, from the very beginning, changes began to occur in the team's composition: Hulk soon left the Avengers, and Captain America joined them. The changing lineup became the team's calling card, although some constancy was still maintained: the Avengers fought enemies that no single superhero could defeat alone—thus the signature phrase was born: "Avengers, assemble!". Throughout the team's existence, it has included humans, mutants, robots, gods, aliens, supernatural beings, and even former villains.
