Stories from the set

At the beginning of each episode there is an encrypted summary of that episode's content: four pictograms inside a large letter "O".

The series was filmed on the shores of Lanier Lake and Allatoona Lake near Acworth in the state of Georgia, although the story is set on the Ozark Plateau in the state of Missouri.

One of the screenwriters, Bill Dubuque, is a native of St. Louis in the state of Missouri, and as a teenager he worked at a lake, so the series is to some extent based on his memories.
