About the series

Welcome home.

What it’s about

District 21 of the Chicago Police Department is split into two groups. Uniformed officers handle street crimes, going head-to-head with the city's everyday dangers. The Intelligence Unit pursues major offenses: organized crime, drug trafficking, and high-profile murders. The two teams hold different levels of authority and expertise, but their cases constantly intersect, forcing them to cooperate even when it is difficult.

What hooks you

The cast includes Jason Beghe as Hank Voight and Jon Seda as Antonio Dawson. Before filming, the actors underwent three months of training with retired and active Chicago police officers. Executive producer Dick Wolf is behind the series.

Who it’s for

It will appeal to those who like police procedurals with a raw, street-level feel and an emphasis on the moral weight of the job. Viewers who enjoy ensemble casts and the friction between different branches of law enforcement will find plenty to hold their attention.
