About the series

Back in the Valley. One final fight.

What it’s about

Thirty years after the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, Johnny Lawrence is down on his luck and decides to reopen the infamous Cobra Kai dojo as a way to turn his life around. This reignites his old feud with Daniel LaRusso, now a successful businessman who struggles to maintain the balance taught by his late mentor, Mr. Miyagi. Their renewed conflict draws in a new generation of students, escalating tensions between the two dojos.

What hooks you

Ralph Macchio and William Zabka reprise their iconic roles, supported by a cast that includes Xolo Maridueña and Tanner Buchanan. The series won two Saturn Awards in 2025, including Best Action/Thriller Television Series. Its nostalgic appeal is strengthened by flashbacks using previously unseen footage from the original film, and many of the Cobra Kai students are real-life black belts or experienced dancers.

Who it’s for

It will appeal to those who enjoy stories of rivalry and redemption, where old wounds resurface and new challenges test loyalties. It will also appeal to those who like martial arts action blended with character-driven drama and a touch of comedy.
