Trivia
All facts 10
- In the 14th episode of the 4th season, after the helicopter falls into the water, it is visible that Desmond is barefoot, but in subsequent scenes on the inflatable boat and when meeting Penelope aboard her ship, Desmond is again wearing sneakers.
- In episode 24 of season 1, during filming on a raft, a boat unrelated to the events of the series is visible in the distance in several shots.
- In episode 9 of season 1, in a flashback scene where Sayid leaves the barracks and talks to the commander, World War II self-propelled artillery units — Ferdinand self-propelled guns — are visible in the background, which could not possibly have been there.
- The budget of the two-hour pilot episode is about 12 million dollars. No television series at that time could boast such a scale. As practice has shown, this decision was worth the investment, as the film became the most popular in the entire history of the ABC television channel.
- Research showed that the pilot episode was watched by about 18.7 million viewers. The second episode drew the attention of 16.33 million.
- The rocks used in the filming of the waterfall are actually rubber props. For this very reason, the sound accompanying these scenes had to be recorded separately, in the studio. According to the authors' original idea, Charlie was supposed to be an older man, but after seeing Dominic Monaghan at the audition, the crew fell so in love with the actor that they decided to rewrite the script to take into account Dominic's natural strength and power.
