What it’s about

The Clyburns abandon their Manhattan comfort for the untamed Madison River Valley after a plane crash kills Preston, the family patriarch, and his brother Paul. Stacy, now a widow, hopes the move will help her and her daughters breathe through the grief. On a working ranch, surrounded by harsh landscapes and slow rhythms, they must figure out how to carry on while the past keeps pace with them.

Michelle Pfeiffer plays Stacy Clyburn, with Kurt Russell as Preston. The series comes from screenwriter Taylor Sheridan and director Christina Alexandra Voros. Beau Garrett, Amiah Miller, Elle Chapman and Patrick J. Adams round out the cast. A planned second season was already part of the project before the first was shot.
