What it’s about
Danny Ocean and his crew are pulled out of retirement when casino owner Terry Benedict demands the return of the money they stole, plus interest. Unable to pay, they plan a series of heists in Rome, Paris, and Amsterdam. A Europol agent is on their trail, and the pressure mounts as they try to pull off three jobs in European capitals.

Steven Soderbergh directs George Clooney as Danny Ocean, Brad Pitt as Rusty Ryan, and Matt Damon as Linus Caldwell. Catherine Zeta-Jones plays Europol agent Isabel Lahiri, and Julia Roberts appears as Tess Ocean. The production used the same budget as the first film, and some scenes set in Amsterdam were actually shot near Haarlem.

- The characters in the holding cell don't part with items such as neck accessories, ties, shoelaces, rings, and belts.
- Europol's headquarters is located in The Hague, not in Amsterdam as shown in the film.
- During filming in Rome, a rather curious incident occurred. Brad Pitt and George Clooney could not enter the hotel because the butler was sure that they were ordinary vagrants. The actors were caught in pouring rain and did not look like themselves.
- Some scenes that were supposed to be filmed in Amsterdam according to the plot were actually shot in Haarlem (more precisely, 20 km from it).
- The storyline developed by screenwriter George Nolfi was actually intended for one of John Woo's films. After the decision was made to create a sequel, the producers at Warner Bros. asked George to rewrite the script for the characters of the film "Ocean's Eleven" (2001).
- During filming in Sicily, all local security was put on high alert, as members of the Sicilian Mafia group were spotted near the filming location.
