His father worked as a psychologist, and his mother was a bank manager. He studied at the California Institute of the Arts. He works as an actor, director, and producer. Since 2020, he has been married to actress Bridgid Coulter, and the couple has 2 children: a son, Imani, and a daughter, Ayana
