Raised on a small farm in rural Michigan, Abi attended Syracuse University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. She has diverse acting experience with strengths in Shakespearean and classical theater, film, and improvisational sketch comedy.

Most notably, Abi can be seen alongside Mark Ruffalo and Anne Hathaway in Todd Haynes' film Dark Waters. She recently worked with Robert De Niro in Barry Levinson's film Alto Knights (premiering in November 2024). As a producer, her works include the Appalachian opioid addiction thriller M30Oxy and Landlord, a vampire thriller with social justice themes. Landlord will premiere at the Frontieres market in Cannes in 2024.
