He was in relationships with acting teacher Jan Tarrant (daughter Julie was born), with actress Beverly D'Angelo (twins son Anton and daughter Olivia were born), with producer Noor Alfallah (son Roman was born). He prefers to keep his current personal life secret.

Young Pacino was a rather sensitive child; until the age of seven he was not allowed to go outside alone. The only available entertainment was the local cinema, which he and his mother visited in the evenings. During the day, left in the care of his grandmother, Alfredo would recount to her what he had seen, acting out all the parts. It is possible that it was then that the foundations of his acting style were laid.

At the age of 21 (January 7, 1961), Pacino was spotted by police driving a "strangely moving" car, dressed in a black mask and gloves. During a search, a weapon hidden in the car was found. He was arrested and spent 3 days in jail until it turned out that the weapon he was transporting was a prop from a film set.

Before starting his acting career, Al worked as a cook in an Italian restaurant.

In the 80s, the actor went through a most serious personal crisis; failures in his professional field led to an intensified alcohol addiction. For four years Pacino did not appear on screen, and many hastened to write him off; rumors crawled around Hollywood that Pacino had finally drunk himself to death. However, having overcome the addiction, in the early 90s Al Pacino triumphantly returned to the screen in "Sea of Love."
