Ana Dumitrascu was born on December 5, 1997 in Drăgășani, Romania. She studied Acting at the National University of Theatre and Film "I.L.Caragiale" in Bucharest, Romania. Before graduating, she played her first lead role in Immaculate (2021), awarded the Lion of the Future Award for Best Debut at the 2021 Venice Film Festival.

Ana Dumitrascu's performance was praised in Cineuropa and ICSfilm. She is also known for several short films, including the musical Crezi ca-i grav (2019) and the queer drama Our Home (2021).
