Biography
Dennis Lee Hopper was an American film actor, film director, screenwriter, artist, and photographer. Over his film career, which began in 1955, Hopper appeared in 150 films, including those by directors such as Francis Ford Coppola (Apocalypse Now) and David Lynch (Blue Velvet). The first film he directed, Easy Rider, was awarded the Cannes Film Festival prize and nominated for an Oscar.
