Biography

Jack Nicholson (born John Joseph Nicholson) is an American actor, film director, screenwriter, and producer. Nicholson is considered one of the greatest actors in the history of cinema. He has been nominated for the Academy Award a record 12 times. He is also one of two actors who have been nominated for an Oscar for Best Role (Lead or Supporting) in every decade since the 1960s (the other being Sir Michael Caine).

In 1994, he became one of the youngest actors to receive the American Film Institute Life Achievement Award. Jack Nicholson is the recipient of numerous awards, including three Academy Awards and BAFTAs, seven Golden Globes, six-time winner of the National Board of Review Award, and winner of the Screen Actors Guild Award. The actor also has a nomination for the main anti-award in cinema, the Golden Raspberry.
