Joshua David "Josh" Duhamel (born November 14, 1972, Minot, North Dakota, USA) is an American actor and former fashion model. He is known for his roles in the soap operas All My Children and Las Vegas, as well as leading roles in the films When in Rome, Life as We Know It, and Safe Haven.

Duhamel was born on November 14, 1972, in Minot, North Dakota. His mother, Bonnie L. Kemper, worked as a massage therapist, and his father, Larry Duhamel, was an advertising agent. Duhamel has French-Canadian, Irish, English, German, and Norwegian roots, and is also Catholic.

Duhamel's parents divorced when he was young. He grew up with his mother and three younger sisters—Ashley, McKenzie, and Cassidy. Duhamel attended Minot State University and played on the university's football team. He planned to attend dental school but dropped out before completing his bachelor's degree.

Since January 10, 2009, he has been married to singer Fergie, whom he dated for 5 years before their wedding and to whom he was engaged on December 26, 2007. The couple has a son—Axl Jack Duhamel (born August 29, 2013). On September 14, 2017, it became known that the couple had separated.
