Biography

Kate Freund grew up in Topanga Canyon, California. At fourteen, she began writing scripts and making short films with her brother Matthew Freund. She attended Malibu High School and later graduated from the University of Southern California. In 2010, her French New Wave-style web series Le Typewriter was nominated for a Webby Award. The Los Angeles International Women's Film Festival recognized her for Best Music Video Direction in 2015.
