Biography
Until the 4th grade, while his mother studied at the Polytechnic Institute in Leningrad, he lived with his grandmother in Monchegorsk. As a child he practiced judo and hockey, played for the youth team of Monchegorsk, but for some reason dreamed of becoming a train driver. He began to take an interest in theater early, participated in clubs at the House of Pioneers, and played in a youth creative theater. After graduating from school, he joined the auxiliary cast of the Alexandrinsky Theater (in the play "Leaders" he ran from one wing to another with a banner), studied at Igor Gorbachev's theater studio at the same theater, and then entered the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography in the department of Veniamin Mikhailovich Filshtinsky. In 1996 he graduated from the institute.
For the role of Lieutenant Volkov in the series "Cops. Streets of Broken Lights," the actor was selected from the Lenfilm card index. After participating in auditions, he was approved for the role. The series "Streets of Broken Lights" received the TEFI award, the award of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia, the "Law and Order" festival, and the award of the Russian Association of Lawyers and Advocates. He worked at the "Perekrestok" Theater of V.M. Filshtinsky (1995-96), the Lensovet Theater (1996-2000), and the Theater on Liteyny (2000-2005). In 2005 he made his debut on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater in the role of Hamlet, and in 2006 he was accepted into the troupe of the renowned theater. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2010).
