Biography
Polina Agureeva is of Don Cossack descent by origin. Polina Agureeva was born on September 9, 1976 in Volgograd into a family of a Russian language teacher and a physicist. She has a younger brother and sister. She later recalled that "childhood is a dreary, sad time and something is wrong, you feel superfluous at this celebration of life," but at the same time she called childhood the happiest time in a person's life. Russian theater and film actress, performer of romances. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2019). Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (2001). Laureate of the Golden Mask award in the nomination "Drama - Best Female Role" for the role of Larisa in the play "The Dowerless Girl," 2009.
Laureate of the Golden Eagle award of the National Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Russia for best female role — in the television series "Life and Fate." In 1993 she entered the directing faculty of GITIS (Pyotr Fomenko's workshop), studied in the acting group. Since 1997 — actress of the theater "P. Fomenko Workshop." Agureeva's film career began in 2003. She acts in director Sergei Ursulyak's films — the film "The Long Farewell" (the actress's film debut, where Agureeva sang on screen for the first time - a romance to verses by Marina Tsvetaeva), the television series "Liquidation," "Isaev," "Life and Fate."
