Soviet and Russian theatre and film actress. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1984). People's Artist of Russia (1995).

She studied choreography and graduated from the Gnessin Music School. In 1972 she entered the Shchukin Theatre School in Yu. Katin-Yartsev's course. After graduating from the theatre school in 1976, she began working in the troupe of the Moscow Academic Mayakovsky Theatre under the famous director Andrey Aleksandrovich Goncharov. She made her film debut in 1973.
