Biography

Philippe Reinhardt discovered his love for the stage at an early age: at eight he was performing in school plays, and soon moved on to short films and live performances. After receiving professional acting training in Hamburg and Munich, he quickly attracted the attention of Swiss and German filmmakers, appearing in a number of comedies such as Granz Henman's "Military Academy" (2007) and Til Schweiger's German box-office hit "1½ Knights," as well as in action films such as Rainer Matsutani's "Factor 8." International projects soon followed: Philippe can be seen in Andrey Malyukov's World War II football drama "The Match," as well as in Fyodor Bondarchuk's "Stalingrad" — a Russian film submitted for the 2013 Oscar.

Philippe lives in Berlin with his fiancée. Between shoots he continues to study with renowned acting teachers such as Christopher Fettes, Giles Foreman and Lena Lessing. — IMDb mini-biography by: Carsten Kastelan
