Recently, Richard played George Pappas in David E. Kelley's series "Big Shot" with John Stamos and Yvette Nicole Brown on Disney+. Next year he can be seen in the feature film "The Long Game." Recent work includes "Ocean's Eight" and "Where'd You Go, Bernadette?" with Cate Blanchett. This is Richard's fourth film with award-winning director Richard Linklater. Other work includes: "Boyhood," nominated for six Academy Awards and winner of a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture, "The Book of Love" with Jason Sudeikis and Jessica Biel, all of whose original music was written by Justin Timberlake, "Bernie" with Shirley MacLaine and Jack Black, as well as numerous television projects. His theater work includes Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, Yale Repertory Theatre, Mark Taper Forum, and the finest theaters in New York, California, and everywhere in between.

As a speaker and educator, Richard is a passionate advocate for arts education. He has been a guest artist and instructor in many of the country's leading programs, including Yale, Juilliard, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of California, San Diego, where he held the Arthur and Molli Wagner Endowed Chair in Acting. During his time at the University of California, San Diego, the program was ranked third in the world by The Hollywood Reporter. He has given keynote addresses and conducted master classes for students and faculty at dozens of conferences, festivals, and schools. He also serves as a juror for the College Television Awards, presented by the Emmys. He is a member of the Television Academy, SAG-AFTRA, Actors Equity, and the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. He is a highly sought-after coach for actors, artists, and executives in business and education.
