Season 4

Episode 1

While on maternity leave, Alexandra finds herself drawn into an investigation conducted by her former subordinates. A well-known fitness blogger, Fiana, has been killed. The investigation leads to the girl's wealthy patron — a businessman with whom she secretly moved in. No one knew about the move, not even the victim's parents. But why hide it from everyone!? Alexandra throws herself into the long-awaited case with such zeal that she forgets both her son's birthday and the fact that her detectives have long had a different boss.

Episode 2

On a night road, a drunk driver runs over and kills a young woman. Alexandra and Boris face a problem shared by all working parents.

Episode 3

A businessman who had been wanted for several days is found dead. He is the father of the young singer Aelita. His body is discovered in the mountains, twenty kilometers from Gelendzhik. The man fell from a cliff. But how did he get there!? His ex-wife comes under suspicion — they met the day before his disappearance, and a violent quarrel broke out between them. Alexandra finds out that the conflict did indeed happen, but the woman had no motive to kill her ex-husband. The investigation is hindered in every way by Misha, whom Alexandra has to take to work with her.

Episode 4

Zhirkov and Biryukov are planning a civilized rest on the beach, but no such luck — Biryukov's old acquaintance ambushes them and begs them to take on an investigation. A young man in an insane state is found on the beach, his shirt covered in blood. It turns out that the day before the incident the young man escaped from a drug treatment clinic. Zhirkov and Biryukov hope to hand the case back quickly: there is no corpse. However, soon information comes in that the body of a young girl has been found nearby, on the shore. Biryukov calls Kushnir.

Episode 5

During a festive show dedicated to Neptune Day, a tragedy occurs at the water park: the artist Dyatlov, who played the lead role in it, dies. After examining the equipment, the expert concludes that it was deliberately tampered with, and therefore the artist's death was no accident. The task force is forced to work without Kushnir — she is spending her day off with her family on a sea fishing trip and cannot return to the city because the vessel's anchor is stuck in the rocks. Alexandra needs to be brought back into action as soon as possible, but how to do it!?

Episode 6

A female auditor who was inspecting a chain of hotels dies in a car accident. The investigation's initial version is an accident caused by the actions of the deceased: the car flew off a cliff on a sharp turn, the woman was not wearing a seatbelt, and on top of that she smelled strongly of alcohol. In the car's interior the detectives find shards from a liquor bottle. However, further examination shows that the woman's blood either contained no alcohol at all or its concentration was negligible. Kushnir examines the scene and finds tire marks in the oncoming lane and traces of braking. It seems this case is far from simple.

Episode 7

An employee of an outdoor advertising workshop, Anton Tokarev, is shot dead. Someone has cleaned up the crime scene and taken the murder weapon with them. The investigators extract a bullet from the wall and use the database to identify the gun — it is the service weapon of police officer Vladimir Tokarev, the murdered man's own brother. Vladimir, badly hungover, does not remember what he did the day before and does not know where his weapon is: it is not in the safe. Soon Alexandra digs up the most likely motive for the murder — Anton had taken his brother's girlfriend away from him. And yet something stops her from drawing final conclusions about the case. Right in the middle of the investigation, someone she never expected to see again barges rudely into Alexandra's life.

Episode 8

A first-year student at the local university commits suicide. It turns out that she is a party to a criminal rape case in which she accused her fellow student, Lyakhov. Lyakhov is the son of one of the prosecutors, and because of its delicate nature the case is assigned to Kushnir. At first glance everything is simple, but during a careful examination of the scene the investigators find a shoe print on the windowsill that could not have belonged to the deceased. Moreover, the forensic examination cannot give a clear answer to the question of whether the girl put her own head in the noose or was "helped." A murder case is opened. Kushnir is certain that the only person with an interest in the girl's death is that very Lyakhov. She tries to obtain a confession but runs into fierce opposition from his influential father.

Episode 9

The body of Polina Yegorova is found at a construction site. The deceased worked at a beauty salon, and Alexandra hurries there first thing. In time it emerges that the victim had serious problems with her husband: he beat her. On top of that, Polina's stolen jewelry is found on the man. However, he claims that he and his wife separated long ago and that he had no motive for murder. Alexandra learns that the deceased had indeed been living apart from her husband lately, and not alone. Her new neighbors saw some man roughly dragging the woman out of the apartment on the evening of the murder. But if it wasn't Polina's husband, then who?!

Episode 10

An armed robbery has taken place at a modeling agency: a security guard is killed and one of the girls is wounded. The investigators and Kushnir quickly realize that behind the sign of the modeling agency there actually hides an elite brothel. A considerable sum was stolen — the entire till from several days of business. Watching the video of the raid, the officers understand that the attacker acted very skillfully. It seems the criminal was somehow connected to the agency and knew well where and how the cameras were positioned. But how can he be identified and lured into a trap?!

Episode 11

A sedan is found in an overgrown pond, and in its trunk is the body of a woman of considerable size. By all appearances, she suffocated in the cramped compartment. The victim turns out to be Natalya Bondarenko, who has been wanted for two weeks on charges of stealing a large consignment of diamonds from the company of her own husband, Oleg. The car in which she was found is registered to Oleg and has been listed as stolen since the day Natalya disappeared. Alexandra suspects that Natalya had a lover. Perhaps it was he who talked her into the crime and therefore is guilty of her death. But who he is, Oleg does not know. Or for some reasons of his own he does not want to give the name. Alexandra is certain it is the latter.

Episode 12

Zhirkov's godson, who has just returned from the army, is planning to visit him together with the girlfriend who waited for him. But on the way, not far from Zhirkov's home, the young man is killed. In broad daylight. The girl is so shaken by what happened that she is unable to give testimony. However, the experienced investigator Zhirkov does not believe the girl. Very soon he loses control of himself and begins conducting his own investigation. To get to the truth, Zhirkov is ready to take the most extreme measures, even if for that he has to cross his colleagues and friends.

Episode 13

A traffic police officer is shot dead in his own car. He was off duty, in civilian clothes, and the motives for the crime are not entirely clear, although it all looks like a contract killing. The detectives pull camera footage and realize that the young man was following a foreign car that had been reported stolen. Alexandra suspects that the traffic officer was attacked either by the driver or by the passenger of that foreign car. Soon it turns out that a couple of minutes before the murder the traffic officer called his boss. The boss claims the conversation was insignificant. However, this seems strange to Alexandra — why would a guy chasing a stolen foreign car call his superiors about some trifle?!

Episode 14

In a dacha settlement, a body is found under the foundation of an unfinished garage. It turns out that the deceased had served time for rape. He inherited the house from his mother and moved in six months ago. The residents of the settlement, who are jealous about who lives among them, quickly learned who their new neighbor was and greeted him with hostility. As a result, every local resident comes under suspicion. Alexandra's investigation is hampered by evasions and an obvious discord in her relationship with Boris. It seems the time has come for the spouses to finally have it out.

Episode 15

On the highway, near the entrance to a dacha settlement, a fire engine and three dead firefighters are found — the entire crew shot with a hunting carbine. On the car's bumper the investigators notice traces of paint — obviously, having swung out from around a bend at night, the firefighters scratched someone's car parked on the shoulder, and the owner lost his temper and got out his rifle. The detectives set about searching for the owner of the car, a certain Mikishin. His wife has no idea where he is — he said he was going hunting, but did not specify with whom or where. Everything looks as if Mikishin deliberately set a trap for the firefighters. But soon he himself is found murdered.

Episode 16

Detectives and Boris's intelligence service follow Inozemtsev's trail. Alexandra's deductive skills help her save a child.
