What it’s about

Maria Trifonova, the last 'Teacher of the Year of the USSR', runs her classroom with iron discipline: students don't even breathe without permission. Unexpectedly, she finds herself in an elite school where her 16-year-old granddaughter studies. Maria hasn't seen the girl for years due to a conflict with her daughter, and this job is her only chance to reconnect. But the school is a world apart: no shouting, no punishments, no bad grades—only technology, freedom, and spoiled kids. Now Maria must find a way to teach mathematics to a generation that has never known fear, while trying to mend her broken family ties.
