What it’s about
Quan Ngoc Minh runs a Chinese restaurant in south London and proudly watches his daughter grow up. Her death in a car bombing claimed by the Irish Republican Army leaves him grieving and frustrated by the slow official response. Determined to find those responsible, he sets out on his own, a search that draws him into a tense cat-and-mouse conflict with British government official Liam Hennessy.

- Nick Cassavetes was offered the chance to direct the film.
- The character played by Pierce Brosnan is based on Irish politicians Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness (1950-2017). Adams was an activist in the Irish Republican Army movement, although he himself denied membership in the IRA (while many others confirmed his membership). At one time he was the president of the party «Sinn Féin», the political wing of the IRA, and in that capacity played an important role in the peaceful resolution of the armed conflict in Northern Ireland.
