Stories from the set

Deborah Burns, Pam's sister and a minor character in the comedy "Meet the Parents" (Jay Roach, 2000), is only mentioned in this film. The reason is that the actress who played Deborah, Nicole DeHuff, died in February 2005 at the age of 30.

Dustin Hoffman disliked the script so much that he refused to return to the role of Bernie Focker. He was also not enthusiastic about the replacement of director Jay Roach by Paul Weitz. After negotiations with Universal Studios, however, an agreement was reached that Hoffman would appear in six scenes.

Jack claims he needs milk. In real life, Robert De Niro, who played this role, was once nicknamed «Bobby Milk».

Jay Roach directed every film in the franchise except this one.
