Biography

One of the most successful actors in the history of American cinema.

Full name — Burton Stephen Lancaster.

After school, Burt Lancaster entered college, intending to become a physical education teacher, but was expelled in his second year and went to work in a circus as an acrobat. After the end of the war, he accidentally met a theatrical producer's assistant in New York, made his Broadway debut, and, having received good reviews from critics, played a policeman in the crime drama "Desert Fury."

Afterwards, the actor appeared in the films "The Rose Tattoo," "Separate Tables," "Judgment at Nuremberg," "The Leopard," "Airport," "Conversation Piece," "1900," "The Cassandra Crossing," and others.
