He is a Tunisian actor and former professional football player. Dhafer debuted as an actor in the UK after graduating from the Birmingham School of Acting. He appeared in Sky One's "Dream Team", BBC's "Spooks", and ITV's "The Bill". He also appeared in the film "The Mark of Cain" as Omar Abdullah and in the film "A Hologram for the King".

He became known in Tunisia after the role of "Dali" in the Tunisian series "Maktoub". Later he participated in dramas across the Arab world, especially in Egypt, the UAE, and Lebanon, including shows and series such as "Taht Al Saytara", "Prince of Poets", and "Arous Beirut".
