Biography
American actor. Hatosy began his acting career at an early age with roles in local theater productions and on television. Shortly after graduating from high school, Shawn made his national television debut with a guest role in the TV series "Homicide: Life on the Street." After a series of small roles in low-budget films, Hatosy played the notable role of high school student Jack in Frank Oz's comedy "In & Out," released in 1997. After this role, Hatosy began to be invited to Hollywood projects.
In 2009, Hatosy joined the main cast of the police series "Southland," where throughout all five seasons he played the role of Detective, and later Officer Sammy Bryant. In 2011, for this role he was nominated for the Critics' Choice Television Award as Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
In 2010, Hatosy appeared in the TV series "Dexter," playing the role of a rapist maniac. Hatosy is also known for the role of Detective Sammy Bryant in the TNT crime drama series "Southland" (2009–2013) and for the role of Andrew "Pope" Cody in the TNT crime drama series "Animal Kingdom" (2016–2022).
