The actress received dozens of letters weekly and more than 1,200 emails in total. This was followed by a sexual threat and Dante's repeated appearances at Paltrow's home. The stalking continued despite Dante receiving a warning from the FBI, after which he was sentenced to several years of treatment in a psychiatric hospital.
