About this season

FSB officers are close to completing the investigation into the Architect's case. Although all members of the criminal group have been identified, the investigators are certain that questions remain in the case. Only the deceased Pavel Semyonov and his wife Tatyana can answer them, but she is hiding from the investigation. The FSB begins searching for Belova, not yet suspecting what secrets the Architect's legacy holds and what price many will have to pay for it.

Death Sentence

1993. A special unit led by Melnikov storms a ship seized by militants. Fighters Andrei Semyonov and Sergei Semenchuk eliminate the terrorists. Wounded border guard Korytin saves the life of one of the fighters... Present day, Petersburg. Mikhailov is searching for the hitman who shot the owner of a company and two bodyguards on Vasilyevsky Island. Kundryakov, in the role of a "corrupt cop," meets with an intermediary, but patrolman Rozakov kills him, and the hitman escapes. Zavarzin conducts a search at ZAO "Lastochka," connected with Vice-Governor Rybakov. Through a patron in Moscow, Rybakov initiates the removal of Zavarzin and the return of Kondratyev to his place. The Last Meeting

Investigator Boyko arrives at the police department where patrol officers Dergachev and Kovrov brought Semenov. Boyko detains Semenov on suspicion of murdering General Melnikov. Aleksei Fomin, following Pavel, decides to go to Petersburg. Investigator Kharitonova, who arrived from Moscow, tries to interrogate Semenov, but the case falls apart before her eyes: the pistol disappears from the evidence, the video recordings turn out to be damaged, and the key witness, General Pankratov, recants his testimony. Semenov leaves the pretrial detention center. Korytin takes him to the cemetery to prove that Melnikov is dead. But the coffin turns out to be empty...

Gun and Badge

Mikhailov learns from the news about Semenov's miraculous "resurrection". Soon Pavel himself comes to his friend and reports that Melnikov is alive. In the city center, a homeless man nicknamed Rambo kills an English tourist.
