Kristina Asmus was born on April 14, 1988 in Kaliningrad near Moscow (now Korolyov) into the family of Igor Lvovich and Rada Viktorovna Myasnikov; she has three sisters: the older ones, Ekaterina and Olga, both born in Saratov, and the younger one, Karina, in Korolyov.

Kristina Asmus has a sports background. While doing artistic gymnastics, Kristina achieved the rank of candidate for Master of Sports. She was still a schoolgirl when she played in E. Makhonina's play The Dawns Here Are Quiet (Zhenya Komelkova) at the MEL theater, and after finishing school in N. Ermakova's play The Portrait of Mademoiselle Tarzhe (Fantine) at the young spectators' theater in the city of Korolyov.

She decided to become an actress in childhood after watching the series Wild Angel and becoming a fan of Natalia Oreiro's work.

In 2005 she entered the Moscow Art Theatre School-Studio for K. A. Raikin's course, but her studies did not work out.
