Biography
Bobby L. Stewart was born in Amherstburg, a small town in southern Ontario. He first took the stage in fifth grade, performing a classic Motown song. In his early years he was a little shy of the stage and sang the song... behind the stage curtain, ha ha. However, Bobby's passion for theater only grew, and by ninth grade he, along with two classmates, wrote, produced and starred in his first short film about street life in the big city. Since then his curiosity and dedication to the performing arts have continued to develop. In the late 1980s Bobby moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, where he began studying theater and film seriously, including four years of intensive training at the William Davis Centre for the Performing Arts, as well as classes with many other professional instructors in the Vancouver area.
Bobby has appeared in numerous films and television series produced in the Vancouver area, including Canadian classics such as The X-Files (several episodes), Madison (recurring role), Northwood and Dark Angel (several episodes), as well as more than 30 television commercials. For a time he paused his film and theater career to raise a young family and pursue other professional interests. He always intended to return to acting, his true passion in life, and he returned to the stage in the early 2000s. Since then he has again found success in the industry and has landed several supporting lead roles in film and television.
