Aleksey Gennadyevich Guskov was born in the city of Brzeg, Polish People's Republic. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2001). People's Artist of the Russian Federation (27.05.2007). He studied at the Bauman Moscow Higher Technical School (1975-1979), where in his free time from studies he was engaged in the student theater. In 1983 he graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School-Studio (course of V.K. Monyukov). In 1983 he made his debut on the stage of the Moscow Drama Theater named after Pushkin in the play "I am a Woman" based on the play by Viktor Merezhko. From 1986 to 1988 he was an actor at the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya, from 1988 to 1991 at the experimental theater "Detective", from 1991 to 1994 at the Gogol Theater.

In 1994 he returned to the Moscow Drama Theater named after Pushkin. From 2003 to 2006 he was an actor at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater. In September 2013 he was accepted into the troupe of the Vakhtangov Theater. Aleksey Guskov is not only an actor but also a producer. In 1994 he headed the animation studio "Frist.A.Film" (F.A.F.Entertainment). He produced some films in which he also participated as an actor, as well as animated films, including "Dunno on the Moon" (1997) and "Dunno on the Moon - 2" (1999). For several years he taught acting at the Moscow Art Theatre School-Studio. His wife is actress Lidiya Velezheva; two sons - Vladimir and Dmitry. Daughter Natalya from his first marriage.
