Currently a correspondent on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Roy has been described by The Hollywood Reporter as "excellent" and Entertainment Weekly called his style of provocative comedy "charismatic grumpiness." In 2016, Variety named him one of 10 comics to watch.

Before The Daily Show, Roy spent three years on the TBS sitcom Sullivan & Son. And he still regularly appears.

He is currently a regular on Conan, ESPN's SportsNation, and Comedy Central's @Midnight.

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Roy began his comedy career in 1998 at age 19 while attending Florida A&M University. In 2006, he made his television debut on The Late Show with David Letterman and placed third in season 2010 of Last Comic Standing.
