Victor Holstein was born on April 9, 1980 in Springfield, Illinois, USA. He is an actor and producer known for "Chicago Med" (2015), "Chicago P.D." (2014), "Good Genes" (2019), and "Tom's Adventure" (2025). He is the youngest of five children, including triplet sisters. In 1998 he graduated from Glenwood High School in Chatham, Illinois. He was four years old when he first performed — as a singing cowboy in the family touring musical-evangelistic act The Holstein Herd. Before changing his worldview, he believed he was destined to become a music minister in the Church of the Nazarene, and even studied for two semesters at a theological school before moving to Chicago to study theater at Columbia College Chicago, where in 2004 he received a Bachelor of Arts in theater. There he studied under Sheldon Patinkin and his gifted associates. Soon after college he moved to Los Angeles, where he worked as a production assistant on the NBC show "Las Vegas" (2003). During this time he also worked on many independent films, television shows, and soap operas, including a recurring role as a police officer on "Days of Our Lives" (1965). There he also continued his training at Second City Hollywood and Elizabeth Mestnik Studios in on-camera acting under Brad Greenquist. In 2014 he returned to Chicago. In 2018–19 he played Charles Lyon in the popular immersive show Southern Gothic, and then took part in Timeline Theatre's production of "Oslo" at the Broadway Playhouse downtown. In 2021 Victor was an understudy in the critically acclaimed Steppenwolf Theatre revival of "Bug" by Tracy Letts, starring Carrie Coon and Namir Smallwood. Victor's last stage role was the ghost of Elvis Presley in Terry Spencer Hesser's play "Christmas with Elvis" at the Chopin Theatre in Chicago's Wicker Park, directed by Dexter Bullard.

He has a supporting role in the upcoming feature film "Tom's Adventure" (2025), which has already been shown at two festivals and is scheduled for release next year.
