In the first episode of the new season of the program "World Inside Out", we will see with you the three most famous islands in the country. First we will fly to New Guinea and feel for ourselves how the descendants of cannibals greet guests. Papua is one of the wildest places on earth, but from there we will go to one of the most touristy - the legendary island of Bali, though we will see something that foreign guests would be better off not being shown at all - an ancient cemetery where people are not buried but simply laid under a sacred tree. The third stop is the most densely populated island on the planet - Java. It is there that we will experience, without exaggeration, the hellish profession of a sulfur miner, descending into the crater of an active volcano.

45 min
In the second episode of the Indonesian season, the program World Inside Out begins a grand expedition to the island of New Guinea, to one of the most untouched places on earth. We will search for the wild Korowai tribe, which lives in the trees and literally only 30 years ago still practiced cannibalism. In order to learn how modern cannibals live, we will fly thousands of kilometers on old propeller planes, rattle along in off-road vehicles and spend two days sailing in unstable canoes deep into the island, to its most impassable places. We will meet civilized Korowai who already know what cars are and even how to use mobile phones. They will become our guides - together with them we will set off into the jungle and wade knee-deep in swamp toward the main goal - the tribes of wild people who still live at the tops of trees and, possibly, still eat people.

Indonesia. Expedition to the Island of New Guinea. Episode 6
45 min
New adventures on the wildest and most inaccessible island on the planet - New Guinea. There are almost no roads in this place, so we will fly on local air minibuses - ancient, half-ruined planes with cracks in the fuselage. And the first thing we will do is explore Wamena - a small Indonesian town that can be called the capital of the Papuan tribes, and its inhabitants - civilized Papuans. And although most of the men - city dwellers - have long worn jeans, many just can't get out of the habit of walking barefoot, wearing only the koteka instead of clothes - a pumpkin sheath covering their manhood. The men adorn themselves with feathers and fangs.
In the vicinity of Wamena we will find ex-cannibals from the Dani tribe, who still live by the laws of their ancestors: here women have their finger joints chopped off if one of their close relatives dies, and deceased chiefs are turned into mummies, which are kept in the homes of ordinary people for hundreds of years.
An exclusive of the program The World Inside Out: a ceremony to which the Papuans have never before allowed foreigners or journalists: we will see a terrifying ritual - how a famous chief of one of the tribes of New Guinea is cremated.

Indonesia. Traditions and Daily Life of Primitive Aborigines. Episode 7
45 min
In the seventh episode of the Indonesian season we will continue to explore the traditions and daily life of the primitive aborigines from the distant island of New Guinea.
How do former cannibals live and have fun in the most civilized city of the region - Wamena? A grand festival awaits us, to which all the tribes of the area come to... wage war on each other. The Papuans dress up and apply war paint - just as their ancestors did when they went into battle. Now it is more of a war performance, but the aborigines genuinely run into the attack, shoot bows, throw spears and fall dead. They die for real, though, only pretend, but on the whole they play themselves, because not so long ago all of this was part of their everyday life.

Exclusive of the program: how to restore a mummified chief and with the help of what technological tricks the Papuans preserve these sacred relics. The aborigines have never shown anything like this to anyone!
Only in the program The World Inside Out - a Papuan party in Ukrainian style! Together with the aborigines from the Dani tribe we will cook a real Ukrainian borscht. The Papuans, who are used to eating only sweet potatoes, will for the first time in their lives peel carrots and beets, and cry from onions. After a walk through the market, we continue our exclusive special report on the unique mummies of the island of New Guinea and head into the dense jungle to find another relic that the Papuans miraculously managed to save from destruction. It was restored and placed in a kind of glass mausoleum that preserves the four-hundred-year-old relic of the descendants. Indonesia. A Unique Report from the Island of Java. Episode 15

Hard to believe, but Javanese "sheikhs" still extract oil from the bowels of the earth using an ancient method -- completely without modern technology, practically by hand. The sheikhs, and especially their wives, adore luxurious accessories -- for example, elite bags made of snake skin. In the central part of Java, we see where and how reptiles are turned into wallets. First we head to a snake slaughterhouse, where the animals are turned into raw material, and then we visit a factory where snake skin is used to create symbols of wealth and luxury.
