The Ukrainian journalist will himself navigate the streets of the Indian capital, trying on the role of a tuk-tuk driver. India. Episode 4

    45 min

"The World Inside Out". Episode No. 4. The place where money is not needed. The fourth episode of the Indian cycle of the program "The World Inside Out" on 1+1. In this installment, the special correspondent of "Izvestia in Ukraine" Dmytro Komarov goes to the city of Amritsar, the capital of the Sikhs. Sikhism is a kind of mixture of Hinduism and Islam. From Hinduism the religion took, for example, belief in the wandering of the soul, and from Islam -- the rejection of idolatry and castes. "The World Inside Out" will visit the main city of the Sikhs, where one can live without money. In Amritsar there are free hotels, and a charitable kitchen feeds and waters hundreds of thousands of people 24 hours a day. And quite tasty, at that. A Sikh man has no right to shave a single hair on his body for his whole life, and must always carry a dagger with him. The host of "The World Inside Out" will partly transform into a Sikh too, and we will see how a seven-meter length of fabric turns into the famous headwear, the turban. And then we will meet a man whose turban is 300 meters of fabric, wound onto his head every day. And the record-holder has forty such turbans in his wardrobe, which means: the total length of his headwear is 12,000 meters of fabric. Dmytro Komarov will take on a dirty job and, together with the Indians, make up for the shortage of firewood -- he will learn to mold firewood from sacred cow dung. And finally he will show a show unique on the planet -- the daily celebration of the closing of the border between two not at all friendly states, India and Pakistan. How and why two countries that have been shooting at each other for decades gather thousands of people in the stands on both sides of the border every evening and close the gates to music and the shouts of the crowd. All this and much more -- in episode 4 of the program "The World Inside Out".
